Most recently Trump claimed he didn’t know the Federal judge in Florida: that is false.
He nominated and appointed Judge Cannon, yet he claims he didn’t know her. Surprise, surprise, another lie. How many does that make???

Homer reviews small airplane fatalities. He uses a Swiss cheese model as an analogy, so when four holes in the Swiss Cheese line up it leads to a fatal crash. He mentions Kay and her checklist as a positive procedure. He advocates aviate, navigate and communicate. He talks about our new normals. They are procedures that use to be done, but now are no longer doing them.
Look I have been voting for years for US Presidents and there has never been a great candidate. I always voted for the lesser of two evils. Harris is the best Candidate in this 2024 voting cycle. She is the leaser of two evils. Trump can’t be trusted. He has lied or has made misleading statements. According to Wikipedia Trump has lied over 10,570 + times.
What do I or Homer mean by a new normal?
Here are some examples, One, diving a car and you check things Are you checking oil, radiator fluid like you use to do? Maybe you checked everyday and now you check once a month. This change is your new normal.
Second, on the roads today more people are running stop signs and red lights then in decades past. That is the new normal for us today. Rules need to be followed or there are terrible consequences. How many accidents have you seen at intersections?
Third, In flying an airplane using a checklist is critical to seeing that flight controls and instruments are functioning correctly. So if Kay were to only do half the checklist now that would be her new normal.
Not holding people accountable is like putting holes in the laws of our democracy.
The only king in the USA is the LAW for our democracy, the US Constitution. NO other kings are allowed.

To many Republican representatives put holes in the US constitution by not Impeaching Trump for his insurrection. They clearly did not to keep their oath to protect the US Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.
“The Republican’s choices have lined up a hole in the Swiss Cheese to ruin our democracy“.
Trump caused the insurrection on January 6th.. He has sewn doubt in our foundational institutions and claimed voter fraud. These are all lies. This is what the Nazis did to Germany to ruin their Democracy. Whatever fraud there was it wasn’t enough to overturn the election. He’s lied about the courts and he continues to spread lies.

The Republican Supreme Court majority is another cause for alarm. Their vote on presidential immunity basically allows a King to lead on US soil. Kings have never been part of the US Constitution. It has always been checks and balances. This ruling will give us none.

Perhaps it will only take one more hole in the Swiss cheese to line up and we won’t have a democracy anymore. I say again avote for Harris is a vote for Democracy. There is to much at stake this time. Vote for Harris, so we can make sure our Democracy stays together as intended by the US constitution. I urge you to go out and vote on November 5th, 2024. Save our democracy from the Republicans who are to big of a threat. Vote for Harris is a Vote for Democracy

I am a man who grew up in the 1980's. I traveled to the Midlands of England as a Christian missionary. From that experience of observing people there and the people in California. In my 20's I realized that people aren't all that different from each other. Sure we speak different languages and we live in a different geographies, but that is really about it. The only real change has been technology. People are people. I found it odd while in England doing missionary work. I was talking to lots of people. Most people weren't open to talk about the 2 things that dictated their lives. That was politics and religion. I really believe it doesn't matter what century one lives in people are people. I try to read a lot of different books. I find history fascinating especially Roman and Greek history. When I returned to California in the mid 80's, I went to the local Junior College. I took a political science 101 class. This one particular section in our text book stuck out to me. I was amazed about what it said about people. That one paragraph or two stood out. It stated that people don't care and will vote for it as long as it does not affects them..... It meant that most people don't care or think about the consequences of how they are voting. The book continued saying that eventually there will come some law that does affect that person. Eventually laws do get voted on that effect each of us. Around 1994, I got involved in politics to defeat a bill that was called the Welfare initiative. It had nothing to do with welfare. It was a bill disguised as welfare, but was about the give the governor enough power to dictate all state workers wages. I only learned much later that most bills in our legislature are not clean. I wanted to create a blog in 2018 because it seems as a country we are loosing our way. Politically, I am in the center. The center of both parties. I like some of what Republicans and the Democrats do. I believe in balance.
